انتشر على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي تصريح منسوب لأمين سر اللجنة التنفيذية لمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، صائب عريقات، قيل إنه أدلى به لصحيفة "لوتان" السويسرية جاء فيه: "لم نعد نعول على الموقف العربي، وجهودنا الحالية تعتمد على الموقف الأوروبي لمواجهة خطة الضم الإسرائيلية، وتعرضنا لطعنة في الظهر من قبل الإمارات والسعودية".
لكن بعد تتبع تيقن لصحيفة "لوتان" لم تجد مثل هذا التصريح، كما أن عريقات نفى بشدة أن يكون قد أدلى بمثل هكذا تصريح.
