The Arabi Facts Hub organized a specialized training day on fact-checking skills at Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, with the participation of 15 journalists from various editorial departments. The training aimed to enhance fact-checking practices and develop verification tools within newsrooms.

The training spanned a full day and consisted of three consecutive sessions focusing on the core aspects of fact-checking in the digital environment, particularly in light of the growing prevalence of AI-generated content. The training methods varied, including interactive explanations, practical applications, and open discussions.

The sessions were as follows:

Presented by fact-checking expert and trainer Ahmed Esmat, this session focused on tools and methodologies for detecting misleading content produced by generative AI models, as well as techniques for verifying digitally generated texts and images.

Second Session: Pre-Publication Fact-Checking: "An Error-Free News Story"
Presented by journalist and fact-checker Samia Allam, this session addressed the importance of fact-checking before publication and its role in building credibility. It also reviewed common errors in journalistic content and methods to avoid them.

Third Session: Tools and Methodologies for Verifying Images and Videos
