انتشرت على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي صورة قيل إنها لجندي مصري يدوس على أحد الصيادين الفلسطينيين الثلاثة الذين أطلق عليهم الجيش المصري النار ما أدى لاستشهاد اثنين واعتقال الثالث ليلة الجمعة 25/9/2020.
بدوره فريق تيقّن بدأ البحث، ومن خلال خاصية البحث العكسي من جوجل تبيّن أنّ الصورة قديمة ومتداولة منذ سنوات أي قبل حادثة قتل الصيادين بكثير.
كما أن الصورة انتشرت على أنها للنقيب في القوات المسلحة المصرية خالد المغربي والذي قتل عام 2017 شمال سيناء.
